The SJM Macao Open 2024 – ‘Ultimate Golf Weekend Package for 2’ Social Media Giveaway (the “Competition”) offer the chance for up to two winners to win golfing packages including accommodation, hospitality, meet and greets, F&B, and merchandise for the SJM Macao Open 2024 (“Event”). These terms and conditions govern the Competition and apply to you so far as the law permits so, please read them carefully.

  • Mailman PTE LTD (Singapore) of 1 Scotts RD, #19-01 to #19-05, Singapore 228208 (registered company number 201910092K), is the “Promoter” of the Competition and has overall responsibility for the Competition and these terms and conditions.

Can I enter the Competition?

  1. The Competition opens at 2:00pm HKST on 30 September 2024 and closes at 11:59pm HKST on 4 October 2024.  Any entries received after 11:59 HKST on 4 October 2024 will not be entered into the Competition.

  2. No purchase or entry fee is necessary to enter this Competition.

  3. The Competition, subject to paragraph 6 below, is only open to persons: a. aged 18 years or above, or the age of majority in their state of primary residence at the time of entry into the Competition b. that have completed the entry process set out below, (each an “Entrant” and together the “Entrants”).

  4. The Competition is void where prohibited by law or otherwise is in breach of local or national applicable legislation or other provisions or where there is a conflict of interest.

  5. Entrants must be eighteen (18) years old and over. Proof of identification and age may be required at the request of the Promoter. If an Entrant under the age of eighteen (18), or the age of majority in their state of primary residence, enters the Competition, the entry will be disqualified.

  6. You must have a valid passport at the time of entering the competition and at the time of travel.

  7. You cannot enter if you are an employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members (spouse, parent, stepparent, legal guardian, child, step-child, sibling, step-sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related) of the Promoter and each of its respective parents, affiliated companies, including, but not limited, to SJM, IMG and subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, advertising, and promotion agencies, as well as any and all other companies associated with the Competition.

How do I enter the Competition?

  1. To enter the Competition, entrants must have registered for tickets for the SJM Macao Open 2024 at https://sjmmacaoopen.com/tickets/ by entering their personal details and receiving their confirmation email. Entrants must then follow at least one of the SJM Macao Open 2024 social media accounts on Weibo or Instagram. Entrants must comment below one of the SJM Macao Open 2024 Social Media Giveaway posts on one of the listed social media channels, following the rules and regulations outlined in the social media post.

  2. Only one entry is permitted per entrant.

  3. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are (i) automatically generated by computer; (ii) completed by third parties; (iii) or in bulk; or (iv) that are incomplete.

What is the Prize?

  1. There will be one winner drawn from Weibo and one winner drawn from Instagram, in total two prizes are available, each prize consists of:

    (a)
    3 Days 2 Nights at Grand Lisboa Palace
         Stay Period: Saturday, 12 October 2024 (Check In) to Monday, 14 October (Check Out)
         Room Type: Junior Suite of Grand Lisboa Palace

    (b)
    2 Hospitality tickets of SJM Hospitality on-site ‘Lisboa Lounge’. Validity: Sunday, 13th October 2024 only

    (c)
    Meet & Greet with a marquee player
         The player is to be determined and arranged by the Promoter subject to the player’s availability

    (d)
    2024 tournament merchandise
         2 Caps, 2 Water bottles, and 2 Duffel bags

     (e) Set dinner for 2 at Palace Garden, Grand Lisboa Palace

          Validity: Saturday, 12th October 2024 only


All two prizes allow the winner to bring 1 (one) additional guest. The winning Entrant will be personally responsible for any and all additional costs incurred above those covered by the prize.

  1. The prize does not include, any additional accommodation, travel insurance, visas, food, beverages, travel, spending money and any other costs or expenses not specifically referred to in these terms for either the winning Entrant or their guest. Any tax liabilities arising as a result of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

  2. The winning Entrant and their guest will be required to provide proof of eligibility to travel and must have valid passports in order to claim the prize. Travel visas (if required) are the winning Entrant’s responsibility. Travel insurance is strongly recommended and is the winning Entrant’s responsibility.

  3. The winning Entrant and guest must travel together in all instances, on the same dates and time, take the same room, meet & greet with marquee player, enjoy the hospitality lounge and dinner on the same time. The Promoter and any prize providers have no legal obligation to the winning Entrant’s guest, and the winning Entrant is responsible for his/her guest at all times, including ensuring that the guest is present and on time for all scheduled travel.

  4. The winning Entrant will not be eligible for the prize if the winner is not able to secure the necessary travel documents, such as passport, for any reason whatsoever, in time for scheduled travel. There shall be no replacement or substitute prize or any other form of compensation, and the Promoter may in its sole discretion determine whether to select another prize winner.

  5. Use of the tickets shall be subject to the terms and conditions governing the Event and to the terms of the Event venue, The Promoter accepts no liability for rights of admission or re-entry to the Event or in the event that the Event is cancelled or curtailed.

  6. All prizes are subject to availability. If the prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter can offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. Prize estimated value: Approx. $10,000 HKD. There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be transferred or exchanged. ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

How are the winners selected?

  1. The winners will be selected from all the valid entries based on the best answers to the questions as posted on Weibo and Instagram respectively. The best answers will be decided based on a rating of the SJM Macao Open social media judges. The draw will not be random, and will be based on the entrants’ quality of response.

  2. The selection of the winner will take place by Monday October 7 2024.

  3. The Promoter will endeavour to contact the first prize winning Entrant by Instagram direct message(for Instagram entries) and by Weibo direct message (for Weibo entries) by 7 October 2024. The message will include details of the prize and how to claim it.

  4. The winning Entrant has 24 hours to respond to the message and to confirm their acceptance of the prize.

  5. If the winning Entrant does not respond within the 24 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner and first winning Entrant’s right to the prize is forfeited.

  6. The odds of winning will depend on the total number of valid entries received.

What else do you need to know? Legal Information

  1. The winning Entrant agree to take part and allow their name and location to be used in any promotional activities reasonably requested by the Promoter.

  2. The Promoter and its group companies and each of their agents and contractors will not be liable (to the extent permitted by law) for any loss or damage arising out of organising or holding this Competition or as a result of the Entrants’ participation in the Competition and any activities the prize winning Entrant and their guests undertake during participation in the Event and whilst travelling to and from the Event, or as a result of their winning, collecting, use or enjoyment of any prize, or if the Competition does not run as planned. This clause does not seek to exclude the liability of the Promoter and its group companies and contractors for (a) death or personal injury caused by the Promoter and its group companies and contractors negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and/or (c) any other liability for which it would be unlawful for the Promoter and its group companies and contractors to exclude or attempt to exclude.

  3. The Promoter accepts no liability for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault (technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure, network incompatibility) of any kind. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries which are not completed for any reason.

  4. The Promoter shall not be liable for any prizes which are lost, delayed or damaged in the post or otherwise not received by the winner.

  5. Each prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and non-refundable. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or modify the Competition, modify these terms prior to the closing date, vary details of the prize, or substitute a prize of equivalent value should unforeseen circumstances require it. The Promoter is entitled to terminate or modify the Competition or to modify these rules prior to the closing date.

  6. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES, AND ANY OTHER COSTS AND EXPENSES, ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF THE PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

  7. You consent to your data being stored, transferred and processed in Hong Kong or overseas by the Promoter, its group companies and its authorized third parties for the purpose of administering this Competition and to contact you if you win a prize and to organize its delivery. If an Entrant has consented to the Promoter’s use of their information or images for promotional activities, the Promoter will continue to use it for those purposes, unless the Entrant withdraws their consent.   8. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence in relation to the Promoter’s exercise of its rights in accordance with these terms and conditions will be entered into.

  9. This Competition, and this terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules in force when the Notice of Arbitration is submitted. The seat of arbitration shall be Hong Kong. The seat of arbitration shall be Hong Kong. The number of arbitrators shall be one. The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English.
